Navigating Perimenopause & Menopause: Understanding, Wellness & Creativity

  • Cultivate Art Commons 370 King Street West Kingston, Ontario, K7L 2X4 Canada (map)

Perimenopause and menopause are natural life transitions, yet many women enter this stage feeling unprepared for the physical, emotional, and cognitive changes they may experience. This interactive two-hour workshop creates space for honest conversation, shared experience, and practical strategies for supporting wellness through the peri/menopause transition.

Tara will open the workshop by sharing insights from her own lived experience and her advocacy work to increase awareness and understanding of perimenopause and menopause in the workplace.

Meredith will guide a conversation about what to expect during the menopause transition and introduce Resolve Counselling's six-week Menopause Wellness Group. Participants will also have an opportunity to experience one of the activities used in the group and learn how connection, reflection, and practical strategies can support well-being during this stage of life.

In the second half, Shelley will lead a guided art activity while sharing her own experience of the peri/menopause transition and the role creativity and art therapy can play in supporting self-expression, connection, and emotional well-being.

No artistic experience is needed — just a willingness to participate, learn and connect.

This workshop is hosted in partnership with Resolve Counselling and generously supported by the Women’s Art Festival.
